The Burack Collection was created in 1979 by Sylvia Burack ’38 and her daughters in memory of Abraham S. Burack, with the direction ”to buy books in the field of current fiction or non-fiction, chosen specifically for the reading pleasure of Smith College students and other members of the Smith College community”. The collection includes new books and graphic novels across genres, bestseller titles, and both young adult and adult materials. 

Additional resources for Leisure Reading are available at the local public library. Smith students are eligible to sign up for a library card with Northampton’s Forbes Library.
