Indexes 2 million+ dissertations and masters theses from the U.S., Canada, Great Britain, and Europe. With abstracts (summaries) for dissertations since 1980, and for theses since 1988.

A dissertation is a book-length work, written as part of a graduate degree program.
We can try to borrow dissertations not written at Smith from the institution that granted the degree; other libraries are unlikely to own it.
Request dissertations through Interlibrary Loan.
If the university is willing to lend it, it should arrive in 10-14 days.
