Request Five College DVDs & Videos

Use Request Item to get videos and DVDs from the other Five Colleges

Note: Students, faculty and staff may also borrow videos in person at the Five College Libraries.

Neilson Library

• There are no DVD drives on Neilson Library computers
• External DVD drives available for checkout at Central Service Point (Level G)

Josten Library ​

• PCs have DVD drives; Macs do not have DVD drives
• External DVD drives available for checkout at Circulation Desk
• 4 audio-video viewing rooms with VHS & region-free DVD in J132 A-B-C-D
• Individual and group viewing by request (email: josinfo@smith.edu) in J133, the Josten classroom (wall mounted monitor, projector, region-free VHS and DVD, and audio equipment)
• Individual and group viewing by request in J131, the Ankudowich Rare Book Room (wall mounted monitor, Mini-Mac, region-free VHS and DVD, and audio equipment)

Hillyer Art Library

• There are no DVD drives on Hillyer Library computers.

• External DVD drives are available for checkout at Circulation Desk.

Visual Browse

• Sort movies by genre or language; search for a specific keyword or subject
• See cast, reviews, and trailers
• Create a wishlist or mini-collection to share
• You can request a DVD from any Five College Location, to be delivered to Neilson Library.

Five College Library Catalog Video & DVD Search

• Search by title, director (author), subject, keyword, etc.
• Neilson Library DVDs: Note the call number, and request the item at the circulation desk.
• Use Request Item to get videos from other five colleges.

New DVDs in Josten Library

Library lending policies vary -- some will lend videos and DVDs, some will not.
