CA-MS-01070
The Department of Art at Smith College was established in 1902 when art courses became a part of the regular curriculum. Many varied courses have been added to this curriculum and many pieces of art have been added to the art museum since that year. The collection contains the administrative, faculty, and course material produced within the department, including art building files, faculty articles and books, gift files, and general departmental material. Of particular interest is the Art 261A: The Composition of the Book sub-series.
