mourning Victorian literature
or a subject search such as:
Mourning customs in literature
Material culture in literature
English fiction -- 19th century -- History and criticism
MLA is the best place to search for articles and book chapters on any topic related to literary criticism. With MLA you do not need to add the search terms "literature" or "criticism". Try combining keywords (grief, mourning, bereavement) with the "Period" limiter for 1800-1899.
