There are a growing number of museums in China, and it is too difficult to list more than a few here. But there are plenty of guides written in both Chinese and English to help you decide which ones are of interest to you and/or in the area you will be visiting.
Many of the great treasures of China's past are held in the National Palace Museum in Taiwan.
