Welcome to the library! This guide has been compiled for students in Chinese 221. It contains links to dictionaries and online tools to aid your Chinese learning, search engines and newspapers to help you do independent research, and finally some links related to travel and museums.
You will find a small number of Chinese language reference materials - mostly dictionaries in the Neilson Reference Collection. Look for them in the call number range of PL1420-1460. Most Chinese language materials are in the East Asian Collection - 4th floor - of the Neilson Library. Books that are about learning Chinese, but written in English, are found in the regular stacks in the PL1000-PL1500 range. You can check out any of these books.
We are working on getting more materials that are good for language learners. We have put these books in a separate collection so that they are easier to find. The East Asian Language collection is located on the 4th floor under the stairs by the East Asian Collection.
