Staying Safe

Making the Most of Your Time

Nothing would make me happier than to hear your stories (good and bad) about your time in Japan. This guide is designed to help you make the most of your time by giving you links to websites that you can use to find concerts and performances, exhibitions and matches, as well as travel information so that you can move about Japan with confidence.

Also, if you would like to do an independent reading or thesis when you return you should keep an eye out for topics and materials that interest you. Libraries are limited in what they can collect, so if you are interested in manga or advertising, you would be advised to buy those things while you are there (or even pick them up from the recycle bin). You might want to buy novels as well - I used to buy two, one for me and one for the professor, so that we could read together.

best wishes and happy studies,

Sharon Domier
