Your Assignment: What is a Lion?

What is a lion? is a question too broad to be answered in one class period or even over the course of one semester. In this library session we will explore the lion from a variety of perspectives.
Working in three groups, each assigned to a different general subject area, you will:
- select a specific topic to investigate.
- research this topic using subject-specific reference sources and article databases
- find an appropriate illustration in an online image databases
- present your findings and describe your research process to the whole class
We'll conclude by discussing the differences among the resources and methodologies used for each topic. Learning about the diversity of resources we have at Smith and how to use them effectively will be important as your delve into your topics for the Taxon Talks.
