Find out about New DVDs using Five College Library Catalog Alerts

Use the library catalog “alerts” feature to find out about new DVDs and videos – at Smith or in any of the Five College libraries – through regular email or RSS updates.

1. Connect to the Five College Library Catalog and log into “My Account/Renew.”
2. Click on the “Advanced Search” tab. 
3. Select “DVDs, Videos, Films & Slides” (or just DVDs) from the “Format” menu and click on the “Go” button to execute the search. 

4. From the Results page for your completed search, click on “Recent Searches” (top right) 

5. On the “Recent Searches” page, click in the box next to your DVD search; click on the “Save to Alerts” button.

6. Fill in the required fields on the “Set Up/Modify a Search Alert” page. Decide how often you want updates and if you have a preference, choose a “Delivery method” – RSS, email, or both. Click on the “Go” button to execute the alert.

8. You’ll receive email and/or RSS updates according to the schedule you selected when you set up your alerts – daily, monthly, etc.
