Note that subject searching isn't always straigtforward. Try a KEYWORDS ANYWHERE search to find a few relevant titles, for example: mental health and (south america or latin america). Then click on the subject headings on those records to conduct a more comprehensive subject search.

Or, look up one of the books you're already found, perhaps from your syllabus, and use the subjects assigned to that collection to locate books on the same topic, for example, Cold War, Deadly Fevers: Malaria Eradication in Mexico, 1955-1975.

Center for Research Libraries

The Center for Research Libraries (CRL) acquires, preserves, and circulates newspapers, journals, documents, archives, and other traditional and digital resources, with an emphasis on the humanities and social sciences.  CRL has specific strengths in materials from five “emerging” regions of the world, including Latin America. 

CRL staff members will provide tailored lists of CRL resources for researchers, including advanced undergradutes, upon request. More information here.  CRL also offers extended loans of materias via interlibrary loan and electronic delivery.
